No, I haven't dropped off the face of the Earth...

...although my absence in the blogging world might suggest it.

Here's how the past few weeks went in a nutshell:

Left for Alabama Dec 17th. Flew all day with two kids having given in to the bribes of my husband to take both with me (he was on a separate flight and wasn't up for the task of a lap child)

Spent a fantastic week in Alabama enjoying my family. Celebrated Lou's b-day with them. Played games and went out with my parents for dinner. Had a lot of fun. Christmas Eve and Christmas morning are our big events. We left to come home Dec 25th.

Dec 26th went to the Lunt's house (my in-laws) for two nights to have some family time. Lots of fun playing games and such.

Dec 28th came home went to bed.

Dec 29th worked on getting ourselves back in order and helping our girls enjoy all their new toys.

Dec 30th bought new furniture with Greg's bonus--much needed!!

Dec 31st family pictures with Greg's fam and partying at Steve's 'til the new year!!!

Jan 1st got up to go snowboarding. Got news that Grandmom passed away in the night. Bought tickets to leave for Alabama. Opted to snowboard anyway since we'd already paid for the lift tickets and it was Attalie's first day to board. Left for Alabama that evening after a day boarding.

Spent Jan2-4th in Tennessee and Alabama celebrating Grandmom's exemplary life.

Got home late last night.

Today: adjusting to normal life again. Loulou's back in school and Greg's back at work.

okay, maybe that wouldn't quite fit in a nutshell, but it was the Reader's Digest Condensed version.
