Marathon Bike Tour

What a treat!

Greg and I did the Salt Lake Marathon Bike Tour on Saturday. Hundreds of cyclists sign up every year to ride the streets of the Salt Lake Valley without cars. It was a 26.2 mile ride and we did it in about an hour and fifteen minutes. The people who run it start an hour or two after the bikers. Needless to say, biking is much easier than running when it comes to a marathon distance.:)

My brother, Rick, stayed the night at our house so he could get up with the girls Saturday morning. If not for him, we couldn't have enjoyed this early-morning date. (we were up at 4:50am!! The tour started at 6am at the U of U!)

Here we are looking like pros: :)

It was a blast!!

What a great date!! Looks like lots of fun -- nice length, no cars -- wish they'd do something like that here.

I was wondering if you'd be participating in one of the events last Saturday. My husband and brother ran the 1/2 marathon, and I was just there at the finish line to support them!
